Description

A refreshing Greek salad bursting with flavor and fresh ingredients, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 large head of romaine lettuce, chopped
  • 1 cup cherry or grape tomatoes, halved
  • 1 English cucumber, sliced into rounds
  • 1/2 small red onion, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 cup Kalamata olives, whole and pitted
  • 1/2 cup feta cheese, crumbled
  • 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons red wine vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • Salt and freshly cracked black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large serving bowl, lay down a bed of chopped romaine lettuce, allowing its leafy greens to create a vibrant foundation.
  2. Evenly distribute the halved cherry tomatoes, cucumber rounds, and thinly sliced red onions over the lettuce, inviting a medley of colors into play.
  3. Scatter the whole Kalamata olives and crumbled feta cheese across the top, adding visual appeal and inviting indulgence.
  4. In a small jar or bowl, whisk together the extra virgin olive oil, red wine vinegar, dried oregano, salt, and freshly cracked black pepper until all ingredients combine effortlessly into a smooth dressing.
  5. Just before serving, drizzle the dressing over the salad and toss gently to coat all the ingredients. Finish with an extra pinch of cracked black pepper on top for a bit of flair.
  6. If you’re preparing the salad ahead of time, keep the dressing separate and store it in the fridge. Dress the salad right before serving to maintain its crispness.

Notes

Use high-quality ingredients for the best flavor. Make ahead tips: chop ingredients in advance and store them separately to keep them fresh.
