Ingredients

  • 1 lb (450 g) lean ground turkey
  • ½ cup cooked sweet potato, mashed
  • 1 large egg
  • ¼ cup oat flour
  • 1 tablespoon finely chopped parsley
  • ½ cup finely shredded carrot

Optional Dog-Friendly Toppings:

 

  • Thin cucumber slices
  • Small carrot pieces
  • Plain cooked sweet potato
  • A tiny spoonful of plain unsweetened Greek yogurt

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Combine turkey, sweet potato, egg, oat flour, carrot, and parsley in a large bowl.
  • Mix gently until evenly combined.
  • Form into small, flat slider-sized patties.
  • Place patties on the prepared baking sheet.
  • Bake for 20–25 minutes, flipping halfway through, until fully cooked.
  • Let cool completely before serving.

 

  • Top with a small piece of dog-safe vegetable, if desired.

Notes

Use only plain ground turkey with no onion, garlic, seasoning, or added salt. Make sure the patties are completely cooked through before serving, with no pink remaining. Avoid regular burger buns, cheese, ketchup, mustard, and any human condiments or sauces, since many contain ingredients like onion, garlic, excess salt, sugar, or xylitol that are unsafe for dogs. Serve these sliders as an occasional treat, not as a replacement for a complete and balanced dog diet.
