  • Author: Sophie

Description

minutes (plus cooking rice and egg) | Yields: approximately 2–3 servings, depending on dog size

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 can (5 oz / 140 g) tuna in water, drained
  • ½ cup plain cooked white rice
  • ¼ cup plain pumpkin purée
  • ¼ cup finely grated carrot
  • 1 egg, fully cooked and chopped

  • 1 tsp olive oil, optional

Instructions

  • Cook the rice and egg completely and allow them to cool.
  • Combine the cooked rice, pumpkin purée, and grated carrot in a bowl.
  • Flake the drained tuna and gently mix it into the bowl.
  • Add the chopped cooked egg and mix everything together.
  • Add a small drizzle of olive oil, if desired.

  • Serve at room temperature in an appropriate portion for your dog.

Notes

Use tuna packed in water with no added seasonings, oils, or flavored broths. Never add onion, garlic, excessive salt, or any human sauces or condiments. Be sure to remove any eggshell pieces and confirm the egg is fully cooked before serving. This bowl should be used as an occasional meal topper or treat rather than a complete, long-term diet. For regular homemade meals, consult your veterinarian or a veterinary nutritionist to ensure the recipe is properly balanced for your dog’s specific nutritional needs.
