- 1 head cauliflower, cut into florets
- 1 cup cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup
- 2 tablespoons sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon ginger, grated
- Sesame seeds for garnish
- Green onions for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Toss the cauliflower florets in cornstarch until evenly coated.
- Arrange on a baking sheet and drizzle with vegetable oil, spreading them out to avoid overcrowding.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden and crispy.
- Mix soy sauce, honey (or maple syrup), sesame oil, rice vinegar, garlic, and ginger in a bowl while the cauliflower roasts.
- Coat the baked cauliflower in the prepared sauce until generously coated.
- Return to the oven for an additional 5-10 minutes to allow the sauce to thicken.
- Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions before serving.
Notes
For a gluten-free version, substitute soy sauce with tamari.
