Description

Ingredients

  • 1 head cauliflower, cut into florets
  • 1 cup cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, grated
  • Sesame seeds for garnish
  • Green onions for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Toss the cauliflower florets in cornstarch until evenly coated.
  3. Arrange on a baking sheet and drizzle with vegetable oil, spreading them out to avoid overcrowding.
  4. Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden and crispy.
  5. Mix soy sauce, honey (or maple syrup), sesame oil, rice vinegar, garlic, and ginger in a bowl while the cauliflower roasts.
  6. Coat the baked cauliflower in the prepared sauce until generously coated.
  7. Return to the oven for an additional 5-10 minutes to allow the sauce to thicken.
  8. Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions before serving.

Notes

For a gluten-free version, substitute soy sauce with tamari.
