- 2 slices of sourdough or whole grain bread
- 4 oz cream cheese (softened)
- 1/2 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
- 2–3 fresh jalapeños (finely chopped)
- Butter (for toasting)
Instructions
- Mix the fillings: In a medium bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar, shredded Monterey Jack, and chopped jalapeños until well blended.
- Prepare your sandwich by spreading a generous layer of the cheese mixture onto one slice of bread. Top with the second slice.
- Butter the outside of the sandwich generously with butter.
- Cook the sandwich in a preheated nonstick skillet over medium heat for 3-4 minutes or until golden brown.
- Flip the sandwich carefully and cook the other side for another 3-4 minutes until crispy and the cheese is melted.
- Slice the sandwich diagonally and serve immediately.
