Delicious Snickerdoodles with a crunchy exterior and soft, chewy inside, infused with cinnamon and sugar.
Ingredients

- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons cream of tartar
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
- 2 tablespoons sugar (for coating)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Whisk together the flour, cream of tartar, baking soda, and salt in another bowl.
- Gradually add the dry mixture to the butter mixture, stirring until well combined.
- Mix the cinnamon and 2 tablespoons of sugar in a small bowl.
- Roll the dough into balls, about 1 inch in size, and coat them in the cinnamon sugar mixture.
- Place the dough balls on ungreased baking sheets, spaced apart.
- Bake for 8 to 10 minutes until edges are slightly golden.
- Let cookies cool on baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks.
Notes
Dough can be chilled for up to 3 days before baking. For an easy alternative, try using an air fryer!
