Description

Comforting and savory Slow Cooker Sloppy Joes, perfect for family gatherings or weeknight dinners.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb Ground Beef
  • 1 Onion, diced
  • 1 Bell Pepper, diced
  • 1 cup Ketchup
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire Sauce
  • 2 tbsp Brown Sugar
  • 2 tbsp Apple Cider Vinegar
  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1 tsp Onion Powder
  • Salt and Pepper, to taste
  • Hamburger Buns, for serving

Instructions

  1. Brown the meat in a skillet over medium-high heat for about 5-7 minutes, breaking it apart as it cooks.
  2. Sauté the diced onion and bell pepper in the same skillet until softened, about 3-4 minutes. Drain excess grease.
  3. Combine the browned beef, onions, and peppers with ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper in the slow cooker.
  4. Slow Cook on low for 4-6 hours or high for 2-3 hours.
  5. Serve the filling on hamburger buns with your favorite toppings.

Notes

For a vegetarian version, use lentils or a plant-based meat alternative. Sloppy Joe filling can be prepared ahead and stored in the fridge for up to 3 days.
