Ingredients

- 1 lb Ground Beef
- 1 Onion, diced
- 1 Bell Pepper, diced
- 1 cup Ketchup
- 2 tbsp Worcestershire Sauce
- 2 tbsp Brown Sugar
- 2 tbsp Apple Cider Vinegar
- 1 tsp Garlic Powder
- 1 tsp Onion Powder
- Salt and Pepper, to taste
- Hamburger Buns, for serving
Instructions
- Brown the meat in a skillet over medium-high heat for about 5-7 minutes, breaking it apart as it cooks.
- Sauté the diced onion and bell pepper in the same skillet until softened, about 3-4 minutes. Drain excess grease.
- Combine the browned beef, onions, and peppers with ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper in the slow cooker.
- Slow Cook on low for 4-6 hours or high for 2-3 hours.
- Serve the filling on hamburger buns with your favorite toppings.
Notes
For a vegetarian version, use lentils or a plant-based meat alternative. Sloppy Joe filling can be prepared ahead and stored in the fridge for up to 3 days.
