Ingredients

  • 12 no-boil lasagna noodles
  • 15 oz ricotta cheese
  • 3 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 4 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 lb ground beef or sausage
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Brown the meat: In a skillet, heat over medium heat and add ground beef or sausage, onions, and garlic. Cook until browned and onions are translucent. Drain excess fat.
  2. Layer the ingredients: Start with marinara sauce on the bottom of the slow cooker. Break lasagna noodles as needed and layer them over the sauce.
  3. Spoon ricotta over the noodles, followed by the browned meat mixture and a sprinkle of mozzarella.
  4. Repeat the layering process until all ingredients are used, finishing with mozzarella on top. Sprinkle Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper between layers.
  5. Cover the slow cooker and cook on low for 4-6 hours, until noodles are tender and cheese is melted.
  6. Let cool for a few minutes before serving to allow layers to set.
