Description

A comforting dish that combines the traditional flavors of lasagna with the unique twist of ravioli, layered with savory beef, marinara sauce, and gooey cheese.


Ingredients

  • 1 package of ravioli (cheese or meat-filled)
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Olive oil for cooking

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Heat a drizzle of olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, sautéing until translucent and aromatic, about 3-4 minutes.
  3. Stir in the ground beef and cook until browned. Drain excess fat.
  4. Mix in the marinara sauce, seasoning with salt and pepper to taste. Allow to simmer for about 5 minutes.
  5. Layer half of the ravioli in a baking dish, followed by half of the meat sauce, and half of the mozzarella cheese.
  6. Repeat the layers with remaining ravioli, meat sauce, mozzarella cheese, and top with grated Parmesan.
  7. Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes.
  8. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes.
  9. Allow the lasagna to cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

You can prepare the dish in advance and store it in the refrigerator before baking. For a vegetarian option, swap the beef with lentils or sautéed vegetables.
