- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350Β°F (175Β°C).
- Cream the butter and sugars together in a large mixing bowl until light and fluffy, about 3-5 minutes.
- Add the egg and vanilla extract, mixing until fully incorporated.
- Combine the flour, baking soda, and salt in a separate bowl, then gradually mix it into the wet ingredients until just combined.
- Stir in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
- Scoop mounds of dough onto a lined baking sheet, spacing them out to allow for spreading.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.
- Cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
For a chewier cookie, chill the dough for an hour before baking. You can customize these cookies by adding nuts or using different types of chocolate.
