Description

Irresistibly soft and chewy chocolate chip cookies with a hint of vanilla and a sprinkle of sea salt.


Ingredients

  • 1 large egg

  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350Β°F (175Β°C).
  2. Cream the butter and sugars together in a large mixing bowl until light and fluffy, about 3-5 minutes.
  3. Add the egg and vanilla extract, mixing until fully incorporated.
  4. Combine the flour, baking soda, and salt in a separate bowl, then gradually mix it into the wet ingredients until just combined.
  5. Stir in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
  6. Scoop mounds of dough onto a lined baking sheet, spacing them out to allow for spreading.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.
  8. Cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

For a chewier cookie, chill the dough for an hour before baking. You can customize these cookies by adding nuts or using different types of chocolate.
