- 1 lb ground beef
- 6 slices of bacon, chopped
- 1 cup diced onion
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 6 large eggs
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Chopped pickles (optional, for serving)
- Mustard and ketchup (optional, for serving)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch casserole dish with butter or cooking spray.
- Cook the chopped bacon in a large skillet over medium heat until crispy. Remove and set aside, leaving some drippings.
- Add ground beef and diced onion to the skillet. Cook until the beef is browned and onions are softened, about 5-7 minutes.
- Whisk together the eggs, heavy cream, garlic powder, onion powder, and salt and pepper in a large bowl.
- Layer half of the beef and onion mixture in the casserole dish, followed by half of the bacon and cheese.
- Pour half of the egg mixture over the layers. Repeat with remaining beef, bacon, cheese, and egg mixture.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes until set and golden brown.
- Cool slightly before serving. Optional: Serve with pickles, mustard, and ketchup.
Notes
This casserole can be made ahead of time and refrigerated. Reheat in the oven for the best texture.
