Delicious Hawaiian BBQ Pulled Pork Sandwiches that are tender, flavorful, and perfect for any gathering.


Ingredients

  • 34 lbs pork shoulder
  • 1 cup Hawaiian BBQ sauce
  • 1/2 cup pineapple juice
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • Hamburger buns
  • Coleslaw (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix together the BBQ sauce, pineapple juice, soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper.
  3. Place the pork shoulder in a roasting pan and pour the sauce mixture over it.
  4. Cover the pan with foil and bake for 4-5 hours, or until the pork is tender and easily shredded.
  5. Remove the pork from the oven and let it rest for 15 minutes before shredding it with two forks.
  6. Mix the shredded pork with the remaining sauce in the pan.
  7. Serve the pulled pork on hamburger buns and top with coleslaw if desired.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, marinate the pork shoulder overnight in the sauce.
  • This recipe can also be made in a slow cooker on low for 8 hours.
  • Feel free to adjust the sweetness of the BBQ sauce to your taste.
