Description
Tender steak bites seared to perfection in a rich garlic butter sauce, paired with fresh zucchini for a delightful contrast.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb steak (sirloin, ribeye, or New York strip), cut into 1-inch cubes
- 1 medium zucchini, cut into half-moons
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- Optional: Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish
Instructions
- Prep the steak: Start by patting the steak bites dry with paper towels. Season all sides generously with salt and pepper.
- Heat the skillet: In a large skillet, add olive oil and heat over medium-high heat until shimmering.
- Sear the steak: Carefully add the steak bites to the hot skillet without overcrowding. Sear for 1-2 minutes on each side until they develop a golden-brown crust. Remove from skillet and set aside.
- Sauté garlic: In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium and add butter. Once melted, stir in the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds.
- Cook the zucchini: Add the zucchini to the skillet, stirring for 3-5 minutes until tender-crisp.
- Combine: Return the steak bites to the skillet and toss gently to coat in the garlic butter. Cook for another 1-2 minutes until heated through.
- Garnish and serve: Sprinkle with fresh parsley if desired before serving.
