A rich and fudgy flourless chocolate cake that melts in your mouth, topped with a glossy ganache.
Ingredients

- 1 cup chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3 large eggs
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 1 cup heavy cream (for ganache)
- 1 cup chocolate chips (for ganache)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease your 9-inch round cake pan.
- Place the chocolate chips and butter in a medium saucepan over low heat. Stir until melted.
- Remove from heat and fold in the sugar, salt, and vanilla extract.
- Crack the eggs one by one into the mixture, stirring well after each addition.
- Sift in the cocoa powder and stir just until combined.
- Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan.
- Bake for about 25 minutes.
- Allow the cake to cool for 10 minutes before transferring it to a cooling rack.
- Heat the heavy cream in a small saucepan until simmering and pour over the chocolate chips in a bowl, stirring until smooth.
- Pour the ganache over the cooled cake before serving.
Notes
For a dairy-free option, substitute coconut oil for butter and use dairy-free chocolate chips. This cake tastes even better the day after it’s made.
