For the Cake

  • 2 cups oat flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • Β½ cup pumpkin puree (100% pure pumpkin)
  • ΒΌ cup natural peanut butter (xylitol-free)
  • ΒΌ cup unsweetened applesauce
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tablespoons coconut oil, melted
  • 2–3 tablespoons water, if needed

For the Frosting

  • 1 cup plain Greek yogurt (unsweetened)
  • 2 tablespoons natural peanut butter (xylitol-free)

Optional Decorations

 

  • Mini dog biscuits
  • Blueberries
  • Banana slices
  • Strawberry slices
  • Shredded carrots

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350Β°F (175Β°C). Grease a 6-inch round cake pan.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together the oat flour and baking powder.
  • Add the pumpkin puree, peanut butter, applesauce, eggs, and melted coconut oil. Mix until smooth. Add a little water if the batter is too thick.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top.
  • Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Let the cake cool completely on a wire rack.
  • In a small bowl, stir together the Greek yogurt and peanut butter until creamy.
  • Frost the cooled cake evenly.
  • Decorate with dog biscuits, blueberries, banana slices, strawberries, or shredded carrots.
  • Slice and serve a small piece to your birthday pup!
