Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Season the chicken breasts generously with salt and pepper.
- Cook the chicken breasts undisturbed for 5-7 minutes or until golden brown. Flip and cook for another 5-7 minutes until fully cooked. Remove the chicken from the skillet.
- Sauté minced garlic in the same skillet for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Pour in the heavy cream, lemon juice, and zest, stirring to combine.
- Add dried thyme and parsley, adjusting salt and pepper to taste. Simmer until the sauce thickens slightly.
- Return the chicken to the skillet, coating it in the sauce.
- Serve on a platter garnished with fresh herbs.
Notes
This dish can be prepared ahead of time and tastes even better after resting. Consider using chicken thighs for a richer flavor.
