- 1 lb Chicken breast tenderloins
- 1 tbsp Olive oil
- 1 tsp Garlic powder
- 1 tsp Onion powder
- 1 tsp Dried Italian seasoning
- 1/2 tsp Smoked paprika
- Salt and freshly cracked black pepper, to taste
- 19 oz Refrigerated cheese tortellini
- 2 tbsp Unsalted butter
- 3 cloves Garlic, minced
- 1 cup Heavy cream
- 1/2 cup Chicken broth
- 1/2 cup Parmigiano-Reggiano, freshly grated
- 1/4 cup Fresh Italian parsley, finely chopped
Instructions
- Season and sear the chicken: Pat the chicken tenderloins dry. Combine garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper; rub on the chicken. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat; sear chicken for 4-5 minutes per side until golden brown. Set aside to rest and slice.
- Cook the tortellini: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add tortellini and cook according to package instructions, about 2-3 minutes. Drain, reserving 1/4 cup pasta water.
- Build the creamy sauce: In the same skillet from the chicken, melt butter over medium heat. Sauté minced garlic for 1 minute until fragrant. Pour in chicken broth and heavy cream, simmer for about 3 minutes. Whisk in Parmigiano-Reggiano until melted.
- Assemble and serve: Toss cooked tortellini in the creamy sauce, adding reserved pasta water until desired consistency is reached. Serve in bowls topped with sliced chicken and garnish with parsley.

Make-ahead tips: Prepare the chicken and sauce in advance and store separately. Customize by adding vegetables like spinach or sun-dried tomatoes.
