Description

A delightful and comforting recipe featuring succulent chicken in a creamy garlic sauce, paired with crispy fries.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 large chicken breasts (sliced horizontally into cutlets)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp butter (divided)
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • Salt and freshly cracked black pepper (to taste)
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth (or dry white wine)
  • 3/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese (finely grated)
  • Fresh parsley (finely chopped, for garnish)
  • Red pepper flakes (for garnish)
  • 1 bag of high-quality frozen french fries (or make your own cut potatoes)
  • Cooking spray or oil (for the fries)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven or air fryer according to the frozen fry package instructions, typically around 400°F (200°C).
  2. Toss your fries in olive oil or cooking spray, adding a pinch of salt.
  3. Pat your chicken cutlets dry with a paper towel and season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  4. Heat olive oil and 1 tbsp of butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  5. Add the chicken cutlets and cook for about 4–5 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through.
  6. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
  7. Melt the remaining tablespoon of butter in the same skillet and sauté the minced garlic for about a minute.
  8. Pour in the chicken broth or white wine, scraping up any browned bits.
  9. Allow it to simmer until reduced by half for about 3 minutes.
  10. Turn the heat down and pour in the heavy cream, letting it simmer until slightly thickened.
  11. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted.
  12. Return the chicken to the skillet and spoon the sauce over it to warm through.
  13. Plate the crispy fries alongside the chicken, garnished with parsley and red pepper flakes.

Notes

Chop garlic and parsley in advance for a smooth cooking experience. Rest the chicken after cooking to maintain juiciness.
