Description

Succulent and spiced chicken koftas chargrilled to perfection, served with a creamy garlic yogurt sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 500 grams ground chicken
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon ground coriander
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 cup plain yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • Pinch of salt
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions

  1. Combine the ground chicken, chopped onion, minced garlic, parsley, cumin, coriander, salt, and black pepper in a large bowl.
  2. Mix everything well until cohesive.
  3. Form the mixture into small oval-shaped koftas.
  4. Preheat your grill to medium heat, brushing it generously with olive oil.
  5. Grill the koftas for about 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally.
  6. Prepare the garlic yogurt sauce by combining yogurt, lemon juice, and a pinch of salt in a separate bowl.
  7. Serve the koftas hot with the garlic yogurt sauce.

Notes

Marinate the ingredients for at least 30 minutes for enhanced flavor. You can also bake at 400°F (200°C) for 20-25 minutes if grilling isn’t an option.
