- 1 pound ground beef
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup chopped parsley
- 1 egg
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 8 oz mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 4 hoagie rolls
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Mix the ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, chopped parsley, egg, salt, and pepper in a mixing bowl.
- Shape the mixture into golf ball-sized meatballs.
- Brown the meatballs in a non-stick skillet with olive oil over medium heat for 8-10 minutes until evenly browned.
- Prepare a baking dish by spreading a layer of marinara sauce at the bottom and placing the browned meatballs on top.
- Top the meatballs with shredded mozzarella cheese.
- Toast the hoagie rolls in the oven for 5-7 minutes until golden and crispy.
- Assemble the subs by transferring the meatballs and sauce into the toasted rolls.
- Serve warm and enjoy!
