- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup diced apples (Granny Smith or Fuji)
- 1/2 cup caramel sauce
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
- Whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a mixing bowl.
- In another bowl, whisk the granulated sugar, brown sugar, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet mixture, stirring gently until just combined.
- Fold in the diced apples gently.
- Pour half of the batter into the prepared loaf pan and drizzle with half of the caramel sauce.
- Carefully spoon the remaining batter into the pan and swirl the remaining caramel sauce on top.
- Bake for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Allow the bread to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
- Slice and serve warm.
Notes
You can prepare the batter the night before and store it in the fridge. Try adding nuts for extra crunch!
