Description

A delightful loaf featuring juicy apples and a rich caramel drizzle, perfect for breakfast or dessert.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup diced apples (Granny Smith or Fuji)
  • 1/2 cup caramel sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
  2. Whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a mixing bowl.
  3. In another bowl, whisk the granulated sugar, brown sugar, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  4. Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet mixture, stirring gently until just combined.
  5. Fold in the diced apples gently.
  6. Pour half of the batter into the prepared loaf pan and drizzle with half of the caramel sauce.
  7. Carefully spoon the remaining batter into the pan and swirl the remaining caramel sauce on top.
  8. Bake for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  9. Allow the bread to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
  10. Slice and serve warm.

Notes

You can prepare the batter the night before and store it in the fridge. Try adding nuts for extra crunch!
