Ingredients

- 1/4 cup rice vinegar
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 ripe avocado, sliced
- 8 oz crab meat (imitation or real)
- 1 cucumber, thinly sliced
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
- Nori sheets, cut into strips (optional)
- Pickled ginger (optional)
Instructions
- Rinse the sushi rice under cold water until it runs clear.
- Combine the rinsed rice and water in a rice cooker, then cook according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
- Whisk together rice vinegar, sugar, and salt in a small bowl until dissolved.
- Transfer the cooked rice to a mixing bowl and gently fold in the vinegar mixture, allowing it to cool to room temperature.
- Divide the cooled rice among individual bowls.
- Top each with sliced avocado, crab meat, and cucumber.
- Sprinkle with sesame seeds and add nori strips if desired.
- Serve with a side of soy sauce and pickled ginger.
