Description

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup rice vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 ripe avocado, sliced
  • 8 oz crab meat (imitation or real)
  • 1 cucumber, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
  • Nori sheets, cut into strips (optional)
  • Pickled ginger (optional)

Instructions

  1. Rinse the sushi rice under cold water until it runs clear.
  2. Combine the rinsed rice and water in a rice cooker, then cook according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
  3. Whisk together rice vinegar, sugar, and salt in a small bowl until dissolved.
  4. Transfer the cooked rice to a mixing bowl and gently fold in the vinegar mixture, allowing it to cool to room temperature.
  5. Divide the cooled rice among individual bowls.
  6. Top each with sliced avocado, crab meat, and cucumber.
  7. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and add nori strips if desired.
  8. Serve with a side of soy sauce and pickled ginger.
