Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin tin with paper liners.
  2. Mash the ripe bananas in a large bowl until smooth.
  3. Stir in the warm melted butter.
  4. Mix in sugar, followed by the egg and vanilla extract.
  5. Add baking soda and salt, stirring until evenly distributed.
  6. Incorporate the flour gradually, folding gently to avoid overmixing.
  7. Gently fold in the chocolate chips.
  8. Scoop the batter into the muffin tin, filling each cup about two-thirds full.
  9. Bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  10. Cool the muffins in the pan for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
