Description

A delicious and cheesy baked ziti dish featuring a blend of three cheeses and a creamy garlic ricotta topping.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound ziti pasta
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup parmesan cheese, grated
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh basil for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the ziti pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, combine the cooked ziti, marinara sauce, ricotta cheese, half of the mozzarella, and half of the parmesan. Mix well.
  4. In a small bowl, mix the garlic with olive oil, then add to the pasta mixture. Season with salt and pepper.
  5. Transfer the pasta mixture to a baking dish and top with the remaining mozzarella and parmesan cheeses.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  7. Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh basil.

Notes

  • For a spicier version, add red pepper flakes to the marinara sauce.
