Ingredients

  • 3 lbs beef short ribs
  • 1 cup soy sauce
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup rice vinegar
  • 1/4 cup sesame oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, grated
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • Sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix soy sauce, brown sugar, rice vinegar, sesame oil, garlic, and ginger to create the marinade.
  2. Place the beef short ribs in a large resealable bag and pour the marinade over them. Seal the bag and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.
  3. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  4. Remove the ribs from the marinade and discard the marinade.
  5. Grill the ribs for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until they are nicely charred and cooked to your desired doneness.
  6. Remove from the grill and let rest for a few minutes.
  7. Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds before serving.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, you can add pineapple juice to the marinade.
  • Serve with steamed rice and grilled vegetables for a complete meal.
  • Adjust the sweetness of the marinade by adding more or less brown sugar according to your taste.
