- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
- ½ cup sour cream
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese, divided
- 1 bag (32 oz) frozen tater tots
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat until browned. Add diced onions and soften for about 5 minutes.
- Combine cream of mushroom soup and sour cream with the beef mixture, mixing until incorporated.
- Layer the beef mixture in a greased 9×13-inch casserole dish.
- Add 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese over the beef layer.
- Arrange tater tots in a single layer on top of the cheese.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until tater tots are golden brown.
- Add the remaining 1 cup of cheddar cheese on top and bake for an additional 5 minutes.
- Serve after cooling for 5 minutes.
Notes
