Description

A comforting Tater Tot Casserole with savory ground beef, creamy mushroom sauce, and cheesy goodness that warms the heart.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese, divided
  • 1 bag (32 oz) frozen tater tots
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat until browned. Add diced onions and soften for about 5 minutes.
  3. Combine cream of mushroom soup and sour cream with the beef mixture, mixing until incorporated.
  4. Layer the beef mixture in a greased 9×13-inch casserole dish.
  5. Add 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese over the beef layer.
  6. Arrange tater tots in a single layer on top of the cheese.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes until tater tots are golden brown.
  8. Add the remaining 1 cup of cheddar cheese on top and bake for an additional 5 minutes.
  9. Serve after cooling for 5 minutes.
