Ingredients

- 2 cups fresh strawberries, sliced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup pound cake, cubed
- Mint leaves for garnish
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, whip the heavy cream with powdered sugar and vanilla extract until soft peaks form.
- In a trifle dish, layer half of the pound cake cubes at the bottom.
- Add half of the sliced strawberries on top of the cake layer.
- Spread half of the whipped cream over the strawberries.
- Repeat the layers with the remaining cake, strawberries, and whipped cream.
- Garnish with mint leaves and additional strawberries if desired.
- Chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving.
Notes
- For a lighter version, you can use Greek yogurt instead of heavy cream.
- Feel free to substitute strawberries with other berries like blueberries or raspberries.
