- 1 packet active dry yeast
- 1/2 cup warm milk
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 large egg
- 1 cup cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 cup fresh strawberries, chopped
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup additional sugar for topping
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
- Add melted butter, egg, and salt to the yeast mixture and mix well.
- Gradually add flour and knead until a soft dough forms.
- Cover the dough and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour.
- In a separate bowl, mix cream cheese, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and chopped strawberries to create the filling.
- Roll out the dough into a rectangle and spread the cheesecake filling evenly over it.
- Roll the dough tightly and cut into rolls.
- Place the rolls in a greased baking dish and let them rise for another 30 minutes.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
- Let cool slightly before serving and sprinkle with additional powdered sugar if desired.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, use fresh strawberries instead of frozen.
