Description

Delightful cookies bursting with personality, perfect for springtime celebrations.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • Sprinkles or decorative sugar for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugar using an electric mixer until light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in the egg and the vanilla extract until well incorporated.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing gently until just combined.
  6. Roll the dough into small balls, about one tablespoon each, and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet, spacing them two inches apart.
  7. Press the tops of the dough balls gently to flatten and sprinkle each with colorful sprinkles or decorative sugar.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden but centers remain soft.
  9. Allow cooling on the baking sheet for a few minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes
