- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup sour cream
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Powdered sugar for dusting (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a donut pan thoroughly.
- Combine the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a mixing bowl and whisk until blended.
- Whisk the sour cream, melted butter, granulated sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract together until smooth.
- Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients, folding gently until just combined.
- Spoon the batter into the prepared donut pan, filling each mold about 2/3 full.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Allow the donuts to cool for a few minutes before removing them to a wire rack.
- Dust with powdered sugar if desired, then serve warm.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 3 months. Reheat in the microwave or oven.
