S’mores Sushi is a fun and creative twist on the classic campfire treat, combining the flavors of s’mores with sushi-style presentation.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup sushi rice
  • 1 1/4 cups water
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 4 large marshmallows
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips
  • 4 sheets of nori (seaweed)
  • 1/2 cup graham cracker crumbs

Instructions

  1. Rinse the sushi rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
  2. Combine the rinsed rice and water in a pot and bring to a boil.
  3. Reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 20 minutes or until the water is absorbed.
  4. Remove from heat and let it sit covered for 10 minutes.
  5. In a small bowl, mix sugar, rice vinegar, and salt until dissolved, then fold into the cooked rice.
  6. Lay a sheet of nori on a bamboo sushi mat.
  7. Spread a thin layer of sushi rice over the nori, leaving a small border at the top.
  8. Place marshmallows and chocolate chips in a line across the center of the rice.
  9. Sprinkle graham cracker crumbs over the chocolate and marshmallows.
  10. Roll the sushi tightly using the mat, then slice into bite-sized pieces.

Notes

  • For a fun variation, try adding peanut butter or fruit.
  • Make sure to wet your hands when handling the sushi rice to prevent sticking.
