Delicious salted caramel snickerdoodle cheesecake bars that combine the flavors of snickerdoodle cookies and creamy cheesecake, topped with a rich salted caramel sauce.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon cream of tartar
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup salted caramel sauce
  • Extra caramel sauce for drizzling

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking dish.
  2. In a bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the egg and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, cream of tartar, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  6. Press half of the dough into the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
  7. In a separate bowl, beat the cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth.
  8. Spread the cream cheese mixture over the pressed dough in the baking dish.
  9. Drop spoonfuls of the remaining dough over the cream cheese layer.
  10. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the top is golden brown.
  11. Allow to cool, then drizzle with salted caramel sauce before serving.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, use dark brown sugar instead of light brown sugar.
  • Make sure the cream cheese is at room temperature for easier mixing.
  • Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
