- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

- 1 tablespoon cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon baking powder

- 1 tablespoon red food coloring
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 egg
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
- In a large bowl, melt the butter and mix in the granulated sugar until well combined.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla extract.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Stir in the red food coloring until the batter is evenly colored.
- In a separate bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth, then add the powdered sugar and egg, mixing until well combined.
- Pour half of the red velvet batter into the prepared pan, then spread the cheesecake mixture over it.
- Top with the remaining red velvet batter and swirl with a knife to create a marbled effect.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Allow to cool before cutting into squares and serving.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, use high-quality cocoa powder.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
