A delicious Cajun-inspired dish featuring red snapper and shrimp served over creamy grits.
Ingredients

- 1 lb red snapper fillets
- 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 cup grits
- 4 cups water or chicken broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon butter
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Chopped green onions for garnish
Instructions
- In a pot, bring water or chicken broth to a boil and add grits. Cook according to package instructions until creamy.
- In a skillet, heat olive oil and butter over medium heat. Season the red snapper with Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper.
- Cook the red snapper for about 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove from skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add shrimp and cook until pink and opaque, about 3-4 minutes. Season with additional Cajun seasoning if desired.
- Stir in heavy cream and let simmer for a couple of minutes.
- Serve the shrimp mixture over the grits and top with the red snapper. Garnish with chopped green onions.
Notes
- For a spicier dish, add more Cajun seasoning or hot sauce.
- Ensure the shrimp are fresh for the best flavor.
