- 1 package of puff pastry (thawed)
- 8 oz cream cheese (softened)
- 1 cup pumpkin puree
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tsp pumpkin spice
- 1 egg (beaten, for egg wash)
- Powdered sugar (for dusting)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Roll out the puff pastry on a floured surface and cut into squares.
- In a bowl, mix the cream cheese, pumpkin puree, sugar, vanilla extract, and pumpkin spice until smooth.
- Place a spoonful of the pumpkin cream cheese mixture in the center of each pastry square.
- Fold the corners of the pastry over the filling and seal them.
- Brush the tops with the beaten egg.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
- Let cool slightly and dust with powdered sugar before serving.
Notes
- Make sure the cream cheese is softened for easy mixing.
- You can use store-bought pumpkin spice or make your own.
- These danishes are best served warm.
