- 1 lb flank steak
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp ground ginger
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
- 1 tbsp sesame seeds (optional)
Instructions
- In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, olive oil, brown sugar, garlic, ginger, black pepper, and red pepper flakes.
- Place the flank steak in a resealable bag and pour the marinade over it. Seal the bag and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight.
- Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
- Remove the steak from the marinade and discard the marinade.
- Grill the steak for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until it reaches your desired level of doneness.
- Let the steak rest for 5 minutes before slicing it into thin strips.
- Sprinkle with sesame seeds if desired and serve hot.

- For best results, marinate the steak overnight.
- Adjust the level of red pepper flakes to control the spiciness.
