Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, olive oil, brown sugar, garlic, ginger, black pepper, and red pepper flakes.
  2. Place the flank steak in a resealable bag and pour the marinade over it. Seal the bag and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight.
  3. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  4. Remove the steak from the marinade and discard the marinade.
  5. Grill the steak for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until it reaches your desired level of doneness.
  6. Let the steak rest for 5 minutes before slicing it into thin strips.
