- 4 Chicken Breasts, boneless and skinless
- 2 Cups Crushed Pretzels
- 1 Cup Flour
- 2 Eggs, beaten
- 1/2 Cup Milk
- 1 Cup Shredded Cheddar Cheese
- 1/4 Cup Dijon Mustard
- 1 Teaspoon Garlic Powder
- Salt and Pepper, to taste
- Oil for Frying
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Create your breading station using three bowls for flour, egg mixture, and crushed pretzels.
- Season each chicken breast generously with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
- Dredge the chicken in flour, dip in the egg mixture, then roll in crushed pretzels.
- Fry in a preheated skillet with oil over medium heat for about 5 minutes on each side, until golden brown.
- Transfer the chicken to a baking dish and bake for 10-15 minutes or until cooked through (internal temperature of 165°F/74°C).
- Combine Dijon mustard and cheddar cheese in a small saucepan over low heat until melted and smooth.
- Drizzle the sauce over the cooked chicken and serve hot.
Notes
For a healthier option, try using an air fryer. You can also prepare the chicken up to the frying stage in advance.
