Ingredients

- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 packet instant yeast
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup milk, warmed
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon peppermint extract
- 1/2 cup crushed peppermint bark
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar (for icing)
- 1 tablespoon milk (for icing)
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, yeast, and salt.
- Add warmed milk, melted butter, egg, and peppermint extract. Mix until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth.
- Let the dough rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
- Roll out the dough into a rectangle and sprinkle with crushed peppermint bark.
- Roll the dough tightly and cut into rolls.
- Place rolls in a greased baking dish and let rise for another 30 minutes.
- Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
- Mix powdered sugar and milk to create icing and drizzle over warm rolls.
Notes
- For a stronger peppermint flavor, add more peppermint extract.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
- These rolls can be frozen before baking for up to 2 months.
