Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a cake pan.
- In a mixing bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Stir in the papaya puree, crushed pineapple, and vanilla extract.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
- Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Let the cake cool completely before frosting.
- In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream with powdered sugar until stiff peaks form.
- Spread the whipped cream over the cooled cake and decorate with fresh papaya and pineapple slices.
