Description

A deliciously sweet and savory orange glazed spiral ham bake that is perfect for any festive occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 spiral-cut ham (about 810 pounds)
  • 1 cup orange juice
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 325°F (165°C).
  2. Place the spiral-cut ham in a roasting pan, cut side down.
  3. In a saucepan, combine orange juice, brown sugar, honey, Dijon mustard, cinnamon, cloves, and black pepper. Heat over medium heat until the sugar dissolves.
  4. Brush the glaze over the ham, making sure to get it between the slices.
  5. Cover the ham loosely with aluminum foil and bake for 1.5 to 2 hours, basting every 30 minutes.
  6. Remove the foil for the last 30 minutes of baking to allow the glaze to caramelize.
  7. Once done, let the ham rest for 15 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

  • For a more intense flavor, let the ham sit in the glaze for a few hours before baking.
  • Leftover ham can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
  • This dish pairs well with roasted vegetables or mashed potatoes.
