- 1 cup rolled oats
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup raisins
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 egg
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Prepare your baking dish by lining it with parchment paper for easy removal.
- Cream the softened butter with brown sugar and granulated sugar until light and fluffy, about 3-4 minutes.
- Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
- Whisk together rolled oats, flour, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt in a separate bowl.
- Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet mixture and stir until just combined.
- Fold in the raisins until evenly distributed.
- Spread the batter evenly in your prepared baking dish.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown; a toothpick inserted should come out clean with a few crumbs.
- Allow to cool for at least 15 minutes before cutting into bars.
