Description

A delightful and savory baked tofu dish infused with zesty lemon and fresh herbs, perfect for any meal.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 block firm tofu
  • 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh herbs for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Press the tofu to remove excess moisture for about 15-20 minutes.
  3. Cut the tofu into even cubes of 1-inch pieces.
  4. Combine lemon juice, garlic, olive oil, oregano, thyme, salt, and pepper in a mixing bowl.
  5. Add the tofu cubes to the marinade and toss to coat. Marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  6. Spread the marinated tofu on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes, turning halfway for even browning.
  8. Remove from oven, garnish with herbs, and serve hot.

Notes

Marinate overnight for enhanced flavor. Can also be cooked in an air fryer at 375°F (190°C) for about 15-20 minutes.
