- 12 lasagna noodles
- 2 cups ricotta cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 egg
- 1 cup fresh basil, chopped
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup fresh basil, for sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook the lasagna noodles according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
- In a bowl, mix ricotta cheese, mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, egg, chopped basil, salt, and pepper.
- Spread a thin layer of marinara sauce on the bottom of a baking dish.
- Take a lasagna noodle, spread the cheese mixture on it, and roll it up tightly.
- Place the roll-up seam side down in the baking dish.
- Repeat with remaining noodles and cheese mixture.
- Pour the heavy cream and remaining marinara sauce over the roll-ups.
- Sprinkle additional mozzarella cheese on top.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until bubbly and golden.
Notes
- Feel free to add cooked spinach or ground meat to the cheese mixture for added flavor.
- Let the dish cool for a few minutes before serving.
- Garnish with extra basil before serving for a fresh touch.
