Description
Delicious Korean Beef Bowls featuring a sweet and savory blend of flavors with tender beef, rice, and vibrant garnishes.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 2 cups cooked rice
- Green onions, for garnish
- Sesame seeds, for garnish
Instructions
- Brown the beef: Heat your large skillet over medium heat. Add the ground beef, breaking it apart with a spatula. Cook until fully browned, about 5-7 minutes.
- Drain excess fat: Carefully drain any excess fat from the skillet, leaving just enough to keep the beef moist.
- Mix the sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together your soy sauce, brown sugar, minced garlic, and sesame oil.
- Combine and heat: Pour the mixture over the cooked beef, stirring gently to ensure every morsel gets coated. Allow it to heat through for an additional 2-3 minutes.
- Serve: Place the beef mixture atop a generous scoop of your cooked rice. Finish with a sprinkle of green onions and sesame seeds.
Notes
For meal prep, you can prepare the beef mixture ahead of time and refrigerate it. Reheat on the stove when ready to serve.
