Kalbi Ribs are a delicious Korean dish made from marinated beef short ribs, known for their rich flavor and tenderness, perfect for grilling.

- 2 pounds beef short ribs
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup sesame oil
- 1/4 cup minced garlic
- 1/4 cup minced ginger
- 1/4 cup green onions, chopped
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, green onions, and sesame seeds to create the marinade.
- Place the beef short ribs in a large zip-top bag or a shallow dish and pour the marinade over the ribs.
- Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.
- Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
- Remove the ribs from the marinade and let excess marinade drip off.
- Grill the ribs for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until they are nicely charred and cooked to your desired doneness.
- Remove from the grill and let rest for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
- For extra flavor, consider adding pear or apple puree to the marinade.
- Serve with steamed rice and kimchi for a complete meal.
- Adjust the sweetness of the marinade by adding more or less brown sugar according to your taste.
