Description

Kalbi Ribs are a delicious Korean dish made from marinated beef short ribs, known for their rich flavor and tenderness, perfect for grilling.


Ingredients

  • 2 pounds beef short ribs
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup sesame oil
  • 1/4 cup minced garlic
  • 1/4 cup minced ginger
  • 1/4 cup green onions, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, green onions, and sesame seeds to create the marinade.
  2. Place the beef short ribs in a large zip-top bag or a shallow dish and pour the marinade over the ribs.
  3. Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.
  4. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  5. Remove the ribs from the marinade and let excess marinade drip off.
  6. Grill the ribs for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until they are nicely charred and cooked to your desired doneness.
  7. Remove from the grill and let rest for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, consider adding pear or apple puree to the marinade.
  • Serve with steamed rice and kimchi for a complete meal.
