Description
Jalapeño Poppers are a delicious appetizer made from jalapeño peppers stuffed with cheese and spices, then baked or fried until crispy.

- 12 fresh jalapeño peppers
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp pepper
- 1/2 cup cooked bacon, crumbled (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Cut the jalapeño peppers in half lengthwise and remove the seeds.
- In a bowl, mix the cream cheese, cheddar cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, and bacon (if using).
- Stuff each jalapeño half with the cheese mixture.
- Sprinkle breadcrumbs on top of the stuffed jalapeños.
- Place the jalapeños on a baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
- Let cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
- For a spicier version, leave some seeds in the jalapeños.
- These can be made ahead of time and frozen before baking.
- Serve with ranch or blue cheese dressing for dipping.
