Description

Hot Honey Pickled Cucumber Spears are a delicious and unique twist on traditional pickles, combining the sweetness of honey with a spicy kick.


Ingredients

  • 2 large cucumbers
  • 1 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1 tablespoon red pepper flakes
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black peppercorns
  • 2 cloves garlic, sliced

Instructions

  1. Wash and slice the cucumbers into spears.
  2. In a saucepan, combine apple cider vinegar, honey, red pepper flakes, salt, black peppercorns, and garlic.
  3. Bring the mixture to a simmer over medium heat, stirring until the honey dissolves.
  4. Remove from heat and let the mixture cool slightly.
  5. Place the cucumber spears in a jar and pour the hot honey mixture over them.
  6. Seal the jar and refrigerate for at least 24 hours before serving.

Notes

  • For extra heat, add more red pepper flakes.
