Description
Hot Cocoa Bombs with Marshmallows are delightful chocolate spheres filled with cocoa mix and marshmallows that melt into a warm, comforting drink when hot milk is poured over them.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup of chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup of hot cocoa mix
- 1/2 cup of mini marshmallows
- 1/4 cup of cocoa powder (for dusting)
- Silicone mold
Instructions
- Melt the chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl, stirring every 30 seconds until smooth.
- Using a spoon, coat the inside of the silicone mold with melted chocolate, ensuring an even layer.
- Chill the mold in the refrigerator for about 10 minutes until the chocolate hardens.
- Remove the mold from the fridge and carefully pop out the chocolate shells.
- Fill half of the chocolate shells with hot cocoa mix and mini marshmallows.
- Heat a plate in the microwave for a few seconds, then place the open side of another chocolate shell on the plate to melt the edges slightly.
- Quickly press the melted edge onto the filled shell to seal the bomb.
- Repeat until all bombs are assembled.
- Dust the outside with cocoa powder for a decorative touch.
- Store in an airtight container until ready to use.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, use dark chocolate chips.
- Experiment with different fillings like peppermint or flavored cocoa mixes.
- These make great gifts when packaged in clear bags with ribbons.
