Ingredients

  • 1 cup warm water
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon sugar

Instructions

  1. Mix the sourdough starter and warm water until combined and bubbly.
  2. Gradually add flour, salt, and sugar to the bowl, stirring until the dough begins to take shape.
  3. Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface for about 10 minutes.
  4. Place the kneaded dough in a lightly greased bowl and cover with a kitchen towel. Let it rise in a warm space for about 4–6 hours, or until doubled in size.
  5. Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C).
  6. Divide the dough into small portions and shape each into a mini loaf.
  7. Arrange the loaves on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  8. Let the mini loaves rest for about 30 minutes.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 20–25 minutes until golden brown and hollow-sounding when tapped.
  10. Allow the loaves to cool on a wire rack before slicing.
