- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon baking powder

- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2 tablespoons milk (for icing)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (for icing)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Mix together the flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl until well combined.
- Whisk together the milk, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract in a separate bowl.
- Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
- Combine the brown sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl for the cinnamon swirl.
- Pour half of the cake batter into the prepared baking dish. Sprinkle the cinnamon sugar mixture evenly over it, then pour the remaining batter on top.
- Swirl through the batter with a knife to create a marbled effect.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Whisk the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract together for the icing.
- Drizzle the icing over the warm cake and serve.
Notes
For a quicker version, an air fryer can be used at 320°F for about 25 minutes. You can also prepare the batter a day in advance and refrigerate until ready to bake.
